Captain Chris Campanelli commands the Erie County Sheriff's Office Warrant Division, which is staffed by 4 full-time deputies.
The primary function of the Warrant Division is to follow leads from local area residents and local law enforcement agencies and perform door-to-door enforcement and execution of Bench Warrants.
At the close of 2015, 1,797 warrant files had been successfully disposed of.

The Warrant Division is also responsible for processing Fugitive from Justice warrants, which are persons arrested within the County of Erie that are wanted by other jurisdictions (states). In 2015, the Warrant Division dealt with 24 wanted fugitives.
Upon taking office Sheriff Loomis a vetern Warrant Deputy and Captain will take immediate steps to ensure that the service of warrants is one of his top priorities.
