Attendence-6 companies + 4 Associate Agencies-10 represent the Fire Dept.

5 represent Associate Agencies.

TREASURER’S REPORT-see attached copy of report-2 checks were written, Wells Fargo cut us a check and the funds were transferred.  See attached copy of Membership dues please fill it out and return with your dues.  Treasurer’s report was approved by the body.

OBITS: David Potoker-Harborcreek died 12/24/2014, Michael Mitchell-Elgin –Beaverdam died 11/18/2014

As a reminder:In the future, all memorials for deceased members must be picked up at a regular meeting by a delegate of the company. They will no longer be mailed

OLD BUSINESS: BVFD bus trip to New York City and the 911 Memorial site has been moved from May to the first week of June.  It will be June 5-6-7 and come back on the 8th.  The price is $525 per person which includes 3 nights, 6 meals (3 breakfast and 3 dinners) and two guided tours in New York City (Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Wall Street) and then on Sunday the 911 Memorial Site Museum.   Set up for two capacity but if you bring a 3rd you can save.  There is also a tour of the NYC Fire House.  More info to come. You can contact Jim Petrone or Ray Bauer (from Belle Valley) min. is 35 passengers per bus and the capacity of the bus is 54.  Friday Saturday Sunday and back on Monday.

February 7th is the Fire Fighters Ball sponsored by West Ridge and the proceeds will benefit the Museum.   The cost is $20 a person and the tickets are only available at the First National Banks on the West side in Millcreek.  It will be held at the Ambassador from 8:30p-12:30am.  

EMA:  Nothing

ECDOPS: Formed a committee for the radio system.  Need to be done by middle of February.  They want everyone to have skin in the game. We need to add an extra $1 to the money.

Need to see if they have hired the new people, they are combining Mary King’s and Administrative Secretary positions. 

LEGISLATIVE:  Only person from Erie to be appointed to any committee is Flo Fabrizio.   

LEPC:  Nothing

FIRE SAFETY HOUSE: Tires were being taken care of by Bob Reinhart.



CERT TEAM: Nothing

FIRE TRAINING GROUNDS:  (Perry Hi-Way) Lord’s has another donation coming to pay for another prop but not sure what that prop is.  Big project for next year is they are still in the running for the PEMA rumble pile they want to do a site visit.  Want to get the oversized stone and the gravel laid for the road extension to get packed down.  The tanker truck is there and need to get it into position and flipped.  The Lord’s prop will be shipped next week and it is a tank and it has 3 simulated leaks.  Casino gave them money to lay the line for the second hydrant by the tower. 

GOOD OF THE ORDER:  Government Dinner scheduled for Feb. 13, 2015 at the Maennerchor Club. The invitations have been sent out remember to send in your RSVP.

Old Timers night is scheduled for April 17, 2015. If you have any awards they need to be sent in by April 1st to be judged.

Did everyone receive their safety Fire Chief Application form from the State Police?  There are copies attached if anyone needs one. 

We have September open if anyone can host the meeting let us know.

Kuhl Hose will be having a 2 day event on March 28th & 29th held at Seneca High School 10770 Wattsburg Rd.  They are bringing in nationally renowned fire service educator Chief Rick Lasky.  The topics of discussion will be “Pride and Ownership:  The Love for the Job” “Command Operations at Structural Fires” & “Managing the Mayday”.
